Buying Life Insurance After Being Diagnosed With Cancer
The American Cancer Society estimates doctors have more than 1.4 million new cases of cancer in the United States, diagnosed in 2007 with more than 559,650 deaths from cancer. If you are in a majority of cancer patients and survivors for at least five years after diagnosis, there may be a different battle: Getting a life insurance.
Buying a life insurance for cancer patients is a challenge, but not necessarily impossible. Your chances of a policy is highly dependent on the type to plan, stage and grade of cancer, and also in treatment. There is a relationship between the rate of receiving and that the curability of their cancer. Some types of skin cancer, for example, can be very low risk of life insurance and a history of skin cancer does not even impact premiums.
